Our story
Story of Hisa Budja began in 1967 when Marija and Karl Budja founded guesthouse Hisa Budja, first located in Trbovlje, where Karl was a CEO of cement plant, Marija, caterer by the soul, was leading the family business in the guesthouse.
In 1978 Marija and Karl moved with their kids to Maribor, where they opened and managed the guesthouse Budja together.
In 2000 their son Marko who owns another pension in Maribor, took over.
Marko's son, Aleš, took over in 2015 and by 2019 he renovated the complete building so that today, guesthouse Hisa Budja combines its 50 years' tradition with modern touch in all fields: rooms, business events, seminars and meeting for groups.
